My mission statement~

I intend on "trying" to live a life that is about: not putting in my mouth things that are bad for me or have come from an animal that was treated cruely while alive on this earth and during slaughter, creating lasting fond memories for my children and grandchildren, adventure, challenging myself, respect others regardless of species, race, color or creed, taking risks, having fun, being grateful, respecting myself & my body, being authentically myself, taking responsibility for my actions, being proactive, being a problem solver, taking action, introspection, transition, change, honesty, growth, loving & helping others, having integrity, doing my best, being easy on myself, enjoying this world, becoming well read, seeing the wonder of it all and never allowing fear to hold me back!

I have been blogging for one month as of 8~22, sooooooooooooo

If you are here for Skywatch Friday click HERE

I thought I would tell my story on how I got started and how I feel about it now..........Truly by a serendipitous moment, I Googled something about farms or country or cowgirl, you get the drift and up popped Pioneer Woman. I fell in love "instantly" with her colors, fonts, pictures! Then I started reading and was so in awe of her life on the ranch. I used to live on a small ranch and have been dieing to get on the farm or in the country ever since. I became addicted to checking in with her everyday and told all my friends about her. No one was as interested as me. Each day I looked around a little more and I found the "black heels to tractor wheels". I spent the entire day, (when I wasn't working like a dog~hehehehehe) reading it. It was so amazing. The more I got the hang of it, I started really reading her comments and started looking at some of the other sites. Dreams of a Country Girl was the first one I really looked at. I started looking at it everyday, so funny! One day I noticed up in the right hand corner "create", I clicked it and it was so easy. I felt awkward at first. Posted something and forgot about it for two months. August 22nd I remembered about it, posted something and WHAM!!!! the disease got ahold of me this time. DOACG was sweet to a newbie and so was Susan at Raisin Toast. They both helped me with some basic questions at first! "Thank you" girls;) I am in awe of these ladies and there are soooooooooo many wonderful bloggers out there and so diversified. Just check my blog roll;) I look up to these people and learn something everyday from them;)
Pssssssssst! Update: I have comments from DOACG and Raisin Toast! Yippee! Wouldn't I just DIE if the Queen herself (PW) commented today??!!??!!??!! One can always dream;)

Blogging for me, has ignited a passion again for creating. I starting sewing when I was in 6th grade, I have went through my cross stitching phases, I've been through my photography phases and more. But the last several years, and I mean several, I have not been passionate about a hobby. I have half heartedly tried some, but they didn't do anything for me. I feel passionate again and it has created a creative outpouring in me that I thought was dead. Blogging has made me want to be a better person, better writer and better photographer. Blogging has made me so "happy"

I have learned so much in such a short time and have so much more to learn. I appreciate and feel honored to get all the comments I get from my new bloggy friends. It feels good in a way that I can't describe yet. My family and non-blogging friends don't get it, but "you" do;)

Just one problem........................I might be seriously addicted and with my new "real" job, how am I going to keep this pace??? Guess it's two hours of sleep a night for me, cause I am not giving this up!

"Thank you all for making me feel welcome in bloggy world"

Peace!

Glad to have you in the neighbourhood. I've noticed a creative awakening in myself, as well, in a very interesting and slightly surprising way. I'll probably blog about it. ;o) Anyway, just wanted to say this blogging thing only gets worse...Better! I meant, better. Did I say worse? Better. Yea, that's what I meant...

google reader .. you put all the blogs you read (they should go there automatically when you follow a blog) go to google reader
then you sign in. Add your blog addys. Thsi takes the most time. Then when you have tiime to check blogs you sign into google reader, all the NEW post pop up, you can read them IN reader and if you want to comment, click on the blog title. That way you arent clicking on peoples blogs to see who has a new post.

I love PW too. She has never commented on my blog, but I don't blame her, she has so many readers.

Your blog is great, keep up the good work.

You are so sweet!!!! I love making all my new bloggy friends. It's so nice to get to know someone in a different part of country and to hear all about how their life is.
I got addicted really quick, but like Keli says, I'm not very creative and sometimes find myself with writers block. I so wish that I had funny stuff to say and write about.
But I love reading all my bloggy friends. PW was one of the ones that made me want to do this.

Happy 1 month anniversary and thanks for the big sparkly award.

Happy one month anniversary....=) Blogging is totally addictive!!! There are times when I just "itch" to get at the computer to blog....only to find that someone else is using it......grrrrr! ( we home school, so our daughter is on the computer during the day for school work purposes.....) So I find myself blogging very early in the morning or late at night...or whenever I can sneak a moment, like now....=) Keep blogging and have fun........=)

Happy one month anniversary. You are doing well it seems. I too was inspired by PW. I love that blog.

I am a new blogger as well, and have quckly become addicted. I can not even take a photo anymore without my husband asking...."Blog?"

I remember when I first started blogging--I blog hopped all night and guess what? It's after midnight and I'm still up, reading blogs. Welcome to the addiciton.

Happy One Month Heidi!

I am glad that you are one of my bloggy buddies. I too have friends and family that don't understand the blogging thing. I am the only one who does it other than Manga Dork. Dr. Hubby really gives me grief about it. I am the "butt" of lots of jokes. I find myself talking about my bloggy buddies and my family acts like I am not even speaking...it is a little weird.

Anywho...glad you are in bloggy world.

I'm new at blogging too...I still remember how nervous I was to hit that "publish" button the first time. I was so sure I would be talking to an empty room. I love your blog and the way you tell a story. Happy 1 month anniversary!!
