My mission statement~

I intend on "trying" to live a life that is about: not putting in my mouth things that are bad for me or have come from an animal that was treated cruely while alive on this earth and during slaughter, creating lasting fond memories for my children and grandchildren, adventure, challenging myself, respect others regardless of species, race, color or creed, taking risks, having fun, being grateful, respecting myself & my body, being authentically myself, taking responsibility for my actions, being proactive, being a problem solver, taking action, introspection, transition, change, honesty, growth, loving & helping others, having integrity, doing my best, being easy on myself, enjoying this world, becoming well read, seeing the wonder of it all and never allowing fear to hold me back!

A very, very partial look into my living room changes.....

Me and my BRAND NEW, SPANKIN' drill!

It's not to show a picture of me ( I hate 98% of all my pics) it's to demonstrate me "holding" my new drill;)

Now, now girls! Settle down. Don't be jealous! You can have your very own drill for only 40 bucks! This happens to be an early Christmas present from my Grammy! "Thank you Grandma" "I love you!"

The next pictures are in terrible lighting and are awful quality. They are not meant to win any awards;)

This is my new framed artwork!

Is the frame as big as I described??

I took down these wall sconces and two shelves for the new picture.

I was so tired of the alignment of that wall. My house is weird with it walls. It is all open. Anyway I will take a pic sometime and show you.

Those be my babies;)

This is the "new" rug, which I LOVE, but which does not go with the picture. That is the old couch. My new chair and couch have not come in yet. I have a ton of figuring out to do. I think this picture looks weird up there by itself. Do YOU think so? I want candle wall sconces to go on each side but the ones I love and want are from pottery barn and need I say more..............We'll see. This is a picture of the sconces. I wanted something really big to balance out the picture and something a "little" rustic. I'm still thinkin'!

For some reason that I am still trying to figure out...........

I don't LOVE this in my house as much as I did in the store so I am going back there

to check out what wall it was on. I still love it though, it's just different???????

This is "one" of my new end tables. The other one had to be ordered. My two new lamps had to be ordered as well. I LOVE this table;)

Ok (totally blurry)
I moved this mirror/coat rack to this wall. This is before I used my drill to put it in it's correct place. I ordered that bench for people to sit on while they put their shoes on and I love the baskets for the way they look and storage. I always have a little black in all my rooms.

Sooooooooo, the living room is a looooooooooooooong way away from being finished.
I haven't done the floors yet either.
I am awful! Awful, I tell ya!

Peace girlies!

I love decorating but it can take a long time just to find that 'perfect' item.... always an on-going task in my house.

The frame works with that picture perfectly!

I think it is looking very lovely and I even love that quilt on the back of your sofa.

I think if you love the barn painting you should keep it. the frame does seem a little overkill for it. Maybe you could repaint the frame or eventually change the frame.

I love the photo of you and your new drill! I would LOVE to have one of those babies! You are so fortunate to have your grandma still too. this post tells us all so much about you! You are a keeper Heidi!

Cute picture of you! You're lucky....I dislike 100 percent of photos of myself.

Your room looks very nice. I like those shelves the framed photos are sitting on.

You are beautiful, and you should show yourself more often to us! Did you ever look back at a photo from 10 or 20 years ago and say... what was my problem? I looked fine... and yet I was always unhappy with myself. Take it from all of us that say your are beautiful... most of us won't have it all of our lives... so we should really be thankful and enjoy it while we can!
"I love to see a hot woman with a power tool!!" A quote from my husband - to me, while I held a drill once! So... you go girl!

I think you will pull it all together nicely. I love the picture and I agree some sconces would be nice on either side.

I asked for a cordless drill from my Dad several years ago, so I could put up my own shelves and stuff. I haven't used it much, but it sure helps me feel competent and capable when I do.

You go girl!
