My mission statement~

I intend on "trying" to live a life that is about: not putting in my mouth things that are bad for me or have come from an animal that was treated cruely while alive on this earth and during slaughter, creating lasting fond memories for my children and grandchildren, adventure, challenging myself, respect others regardless of species, race, color or creed, taking risks, having fun, being grateful, respecting myself & my body, being authentically myself, taking responsibility for my actions, being proactive, being a problem solver, taking action, introspection, transition, change, honesty, growth, loving & helping others, having integrity, doing my best, being easy on myself, enjoying this world, becoming well read, seeing the wonder of it all and never allowing fear to hold me back!

How I came up with my name!

The week I created my blog I was feeling some serious remorse while bored in a job where I had nothing to do but daydream about all I wanted so desperately to do:
Have a boyfriend or friend again that had a Harley
Live on a hobby farm
Go boating
Four wheeling
White water rafting
Dirt Biking
Etc.
Hence the "wanna be"
(I am seriously nuts over this print. I want it but it is too expensive)

The summer before, I had a boyfriend that was super fun all time.
We boated, he had a Harley, we talked about living in the country..................
It was constant adventure and go, go, go!
And I was missing all the fun and adventure badly when my name just came to me!
I was raised around farms and motorcycles, so this is nothing new! My longing for them is just getting stronger;)
How did you come up with your bloggy name?

I love the picture of the motorcycle. That's a great picture. I remember when you first started your blog.

My blog has (as times) been sort of a semi-political blog. I like to discuss issues sometimes, but I often got a lot of flak for my opinions. And then I read a quote that I liked:

"There are times and places where one's voice needs to be heard above the clamor of others who may think differently or wish to go in a different direction. The need to raise one's 'voice' is not a call to shout or to shout down others, but to preserve one's integrity of belief and feeling so that one can become a 'majority of one'."

But then I met someone I rather liked, and I preferred the title "A Majority of Two".

I love how you got the name of your blog. It has a interesting history, and those pictures are totally you!

I am a city girl, waiting to be transplanted to the country, and I dream of being able to go out into the garden with my muddy boots on.
It also happens to be the name of my small business. Which one day.....might grow to a bigger business.

Oh BTW, I mailed those cards off to you today, hope that you get them soon. And did you notice the blog post about your lovely bowl yesterday?

I hadn't even heard of blogging until it was mentioned on t.v. one day.
I thought I needed a good hobby. I had quit work(paying work, I work harder now than then) to work here on the farm.
I looked up blogging on the internet, found blogspot and just typed in the first name that came to mind. Life on a Southern Farm

I wish now I had been more creative with a name. But I thought it would be like my other hobbies, short lived.
I spend more time than I have doing it. It is fun though.
Love your motorcycle picture and your blog name.
Good job.

Have a great day.
Pam

My blog name is the name of our farm...We chose Four Seasons because our children's middle names are the seasons...autumn, spring, and summer. Foster Son would have been winter. Oh well, 3 out 4 is good enough for me! LOL!

I too like that print. Pa Wild Woman....cause I love the outdoors especially Pennsylvania. And as a kick back to my Aunt who says all the women in our family have a wild streak a mile wide.

I love Harley's too. My ex just bought one... go figure.

You should contact the seller of the print and ask if you can make payments over time. In this economy, retailers are much more open to providing potential clients options.

My blog name just kind of came to me too. I was in the midst of doing a lot of introspective work, at the time, and I knew that there was a fire and a passion that was burning deep within. As someone who seeks peace and yet also loves to live life to the fullest, the name just seemed to fit. I think it implies that there is more to me than meets the eye. One of my favourite affirmations is "I am powerful beyond measure."

Truthfully, I haven't really thought about it in a long time.

Keep your dreams sacred. They will come true!

Much Love to you,
Carolynn

P.S. Jo - I LOVE the quote and am in full agreement. As for Flak...it's just someone else's opinion and they're welcome to it.

Okay...gonna step down off my soapbox now....

I love this. Your name is the best.

I had a few different names before I came to smelling the flowers ... one at a time. I will post about it. Thanks, m

I love the passion and strength in that motorcycle pic and I love your name. Mine has a story--but have yet to tell the story. I should do that one of these days.
