It's a contest at my place! Who's gonna win?

Isn't this Hallmark plate gorgeous???!!!

You could win it from me!
Just spreading some bloggy love;)
The contest is over this Sunday evening, you get a chance to win simply by leaving a comment on what you love most about Christmas;)
I started to put a bunch of rules and say tell everybody and you get extra points if you do this and do that, but I changed my mind and just wanted it to be simple and sweet!
Peace, HeidiHo;)

I love quiet days by the fire while snow falls with the twinkle of my Christmas tree lighting my living room. I love the smell of spiced cider on the stove. I love the taste of melting fudge on my tongue. I love the jingle of bells that tell me someone is shaking their present. I love the stocking that hangs on my mantle and my memories of the night so long ago when my mom was making it. I love getting up at 2 am to open presents because you just can't wait till morning! I love this ragged pair of gloves which I have worn for 31 years now to pick out my christmas tree, and how the palms of the leather smell like fur trees. And I love knowing God must really love me a lot!

How cute is that?

I love everything - being with family, seeing excited faces on Christmas morning, the decorating (and I do a ton!), thinking of our Savior's birth, Secret Santas and helping those in need, the excuse to eat, the music - all of it!

I love the excitement and fun of it all! That plate is SO cute!

I think what I love the most, is being with my family, however many can be there at that time. Just feeling that our most important event that day is to be together as one, and enjoy being with each other.

What I Love Most About Christmas by Beki. HA, I just had fourth grade flash backs.

But seriously nothing says Christmas to me than me helping my mother haul her (and I kid you not) 46 boxes of Christmas decorations down from her attic. As we go through the boxes there are ornaments from my childhood and ones my own kids have made. It is the smell of her pumpkin bread in the oven and watching my dad string up christmas lights. It is hearing Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Ella Fitzgerald croon about Winter Wonderlands and being home for Christmas, but my absolute favorite thing about Christmas, is curling up in front of my fireplace with a mug a hot chocolate and watching White Christmas.

Yes, the plate is too cute, love it. So many favorite things... building snowmen, playing with the kids, being with family, sitting in front of the fire... and listening to music.

I love:
...my kids' perpetual excitement about Christmas (and they're 16 and 20 now!!)
...putting up Christmas lights on the trees and shrubs outside
...setting up my Santa collection
...waiting until December 1st and then blasting Herb Alpert's Christmas cd through the house for the next 25 days.
and
...having my mom get through the holidays without drinking (sad, but very true) - this year will be the second one - keep your fingers crossed. :-)

Hey Heidi, your facebook status is what lead me here this time - I was just on checking for something...anyway, very cute plate!

I like the aura of Christmas. The smells, the lights, the baking, the gift-giving, the excitement, the magic and the fact that Jesus came down here that night to save me! Totally cool! It's essentially all about LOVE!

oooohhhhh I LOVE Christmas music the most. But when you get down to the nitty gritty of the holiday. I love after the kids go to bed on Christmas Eve and I wrap up all the presents. It's usally just me and my man and we'll watch a Christmas show of some sort and wrap and laugh. I love watching my kids reactions on Christmas morning when they open their gifts and see that they indeed did get what they asked for.
I love hearing all the sounds of Christmas and the FOOTBALL!!!

love cozy days at home with my family and driving around to look at Christmas lights. Also visiting the Bio-Park Zoo Lights while sipping hot cocoa.

I love the smell of pinon wood smoke while watching snowflakes falling down from the grey sky.
And I love sparkling lights on the Christmas tree as music plays. :)

What fun!
Is it really only 35 days away???gah!

I love the simple pleasures of
christmas time...being with family, a cozy fire in the fireplace, homemade treats from family and friends, snow..although we almost never have it at Christmas time. ) Putting up the tree with my daugher....these are just a few of the simple things I like about the Christmas season.

I love that my hubby and I get extra days off together (which are rare) and we can just enjoy each other....with a fire, some Christmas music...and no worries or chores.

Under you at SITS roll call, stopping by to say hi!

Cute plate!

I love the Christmas 'feeling.' I can't describe it, but it seriously hits me when stores start decorating and playing Christmas songs. People get annoyed at the 'early-ness' of it, but I love it.

I love getting gifts for my grandkids first, and then my kids. It's the greatest feeling seeing them happy. Plus, I get hugs and kisses.

Next, I love the pies, pumpkin, mince, apple....you know the rest.

Oh..that plate is adorable! First I want to say thank you so much for your sweet comment about my Mom! It meant alot that you took the time! xo Keli

What I love the most about Christmas is that we celebrate the birth of Jesus first of all..second favorite is memories of past Christmas's with my Mom. I am so very thankful for those memories! And now we are carrying on those traditions and we are making new ones...I know that would make her happy. xo

I love seeing the delighted looks on my little munchkins faces on Christmas morning. It always feels as if there is magin in the air. After we have opened our gifts, we always have a wonderful Christmas breakfast, and it just feel so special.

Beautiful plate!

I just wrote blogs (posting tomorrow) about our Christmas traditions. However, since I live overseas, I don't spend many Christmases with my family. Therefore, the best thing about Christmas is that our family all gets together and I can see them all at once. And the scent of the fir tree, and the cookies baking, and the hot chocolate! MMM!

I love how even the grumpiest of people go soft and enjoy those around them. Christmas cheer.

Thanks for stopping in! Love your profile descript. We recently moved to the country and I'm getting used to all of this! Chickens and cows are on the horizon for us!

Hi~! I've enjoyed looking around your blog. I popped over by way of your comment at PW's blog. I'd love to win your plate...my favorite thing about Christmas is family. My 22-yr old daughter is "Miss Christmas" and loves everything about it from playing Christmas music in October to helping put up all the decorations outside in the freezing cold. It's so fun to watch her and follow all the traditions cuz she expects it! Next week we have our annual 'Trim the Tree' party with orange danish rolls and hot chocolate and hot apple cider - it's tradition! She makes me can't wait, too!

This Christmas will most likely be the last Christmas that I get to spend with my Grandpa while his mind is still 1/2 way in the game. I lost the GREATEST GRANDMA in the world 14 years ago and Christmas has never been the same with our family since. We are hoping to have everyone make the time to get together while he is still with us. We haven't celebrated a family Chrismas (on this side of the family)together since 1993.

Hey Heidi! What fun...I think what I love most about Christmas is the setting aside of everyday pettiness and a surge of love in the air. I like the hush on Christmas Eve.

I love the memories that Christmas creates and I still hold those close to me from when my daughter was as little as my grandchildren now are. Oh, the way their eyes light up when they see a Christmas tree!
