Historians generally credit George Fox with being the principal co-founder or most important early figure.[1] The Society of Friends is counted among the historic peace churches.

Oh, what a great Q! I have known a few Quakers and always thought them the lovliest of people : )! One time I worked with a Quaker lady and she had been a social worker for 45 years. Can you imagine? She was wonderful and truly cared for the families that she worked with!
I don't think the Mr. Linky for Q is set up right this week. They have last weeks in place. I am very confused! So, be on the lookout for the right one so you can enter your GREAT Q picture!
Well, I learn something new everyday!!! This is great!

Q is going to be a tough one! Great post! Love your header photo too girlie! That little guy is so cute!
You provided some very interesting links here! Thanks! I now know more about the Quakers than before. Their beliefs are intriguing to me....I sometimes wish there was a Quaker meeting house around here so I could visit.
Richard Nixon was a Quaker and he went to Whittier College in Southern California which is a Quaker founded college...
Thanks for sharing this info with us. Beautiful post!

I did not know that...
I have learnt so much on my ABC quest this week! Thanks for sharing :)
Interesting.
Thanks for that tidbit of information. When we lived in Oregon there was a 'George Fox University' there. Now I know who it was named after and what group founded the school. Cool.
Well you learn something new every day. Thank you for enlightening me.
Good choice! I'm a Quaker by convincement - as visitors to my blog will learn today. I had no idea Richard Nixon was a Quaker though, maybe because I'm English. Probably I'd have known if I'd attended Meeting in the US!
Thanks for taking part in ABC Wednesday. Yes, Mr Linky is in trouble this week, but we value your contribution! :)
