My mission statement~

I intend on "trying" to live a life that is about: not putting in my mouth things that are bad for me or have come from an animal that was treated cruely while alive on this earth and during slaughter, creating lasting fond memories for my children and grandchildren, adventure, challenging myself, respect others regardless of species, race, color or creed, taking risks, having fun, being grateful, respecting myself & my body, being authentically myself, taking responsibility for my actions, being proactive, being a problem solver, taking action, introspection, transition, change, honesty, growth, loving & helping others, having integrity, doing my best, being easy on myself, enjoying this world, becoming well read, seeing the wonder of it all and never allowing fear to hold me back!

Thought Filled Thursday~

If you were elected President tomorrow, for real, what would be the very first thing that you would change, implement and put into action?????????

I would defiantly have universal health care.

Either leave your answers here or on your site and link back please??

Peace!

UH OH...I just know this is gonna make me a bad bad bad person. But it's the truth for me....so.....
I'd put an end to ILLEGAL immigration. Anyway possible. Even if it was not pretty. I have family that suffer so much living in boarder towns...and I stood on the sidewalks in New York City and watched the smoke, and saw the people handing out flyers for missing loved ones. I want this country protected from the next 911

Hmmmmm...just one thing...there are so many important things...

I guess the most simple of my thoughts would be to stop abortions.

EASY... I would place term limits on all govt workers, no careers in the house, they need to go and serve the country, go in make a difference and get out! Then people would work together for the good of the country!

I am glad to hear that your new job is going well. Enjoy the new-ness!

The first thing I would change is the support and structure of public education... everything else might just flow from there??? That would be my hope.

everyone has such good points!

hhhmmm...........well, since i have a brother in the national guard, a cousin in iraq now, a cousin deploying to iraq for his 2nd tour on monday, a cousin deploying to iraq next june, a family friend in iraq now, and a friend who just came back this year....i would get us out of iraq for good. we have no business there. if our boys get 6-9 weeks of basic training/boot camp, then i think after this many years of us being there, the iraqis ought to be able to grasp maintaining their own military and government.
