Good Sunday to you all;)
I am enjoying this quiet and lovely Sunday morn watching my fave Sunday morn program:
Megan and Jonathan left last night;(
Friday night I took them on a Autumn, country drive to a tini, tiny town where there is a restaurant called Club 41. It is a little place that has been around for years and just keeps getting better. It was about 38 miles away. We enjoyed the top down on the way;)
Of course I stopped and captured some views:
Barns and white churches are one of my fave things to photograph. I plan to do a book someday!
But after they viewed the shot, they loved it!
I played with this one just for fun!
Enjoying a Samuel Adams at this lovely little piece of heaven.
Nothing fancy here, just great food.
They are seriously famous for their haystack onion rings! They assume every table will order a plate or two!
Ummmmmmmmm! Yummmmmmyyyyyyy!
Megs and I shared a shrimp combo plate. I ate the fried shrimp and she had the shrimp scampi. It was so fresh and delicious!
My happy and beautiful little bunny!
Welllllllllllllllllllllll, Saturday Megs realized she left her cell phone at our little restaurant. I drove back there while they packed. I took these on the way back home:

An old railroad station!
A beautiful fave! An old white church!
What a cool and unique barn!
I can't explain why, I just had to take cause I loved it! I like the blue coming through.
Look at the wittle baby!
The top of this barn is really just sitting on top of the corn!
Latter in the day Megs, Jonathan and I were going to drive over to tell Court and Cooper good-bye! I had to get gas first and this was by my pump! Aaaaammmaaaazzziiiiinnnnggggg!
Megs saying good-bye to her favorite nephew!
Jonathan and Megs are now headed to spend a week in Jefferson city, Missouri. Jonathan works for Scholastic books and gets to do it from anywhere in the world. Since they are back in the states for a little bit (back from Spain, headed to Africa) he is spending a week at one of Scholastic headquarters. After that they are spending 3 weeks in Utah with Megs father. Busy couple;0

I am catching up on my bloggy friends, cleaning and doing yard work today!
Wishing a peaceful and restful Sunday to all!

As always...the photos are stunning. Glad you had such a wonderful visit with your loved ones. I always get jealous when I hear about people heading to Utah...oh how I miss home!
I love pics of old barns and white churches too...nothing like running up on an old country church in the middle of nowhere...gorgeous! I took a couple sky photos that I think you will like...they are on my weekend update post. That restaurant looked yummy btw! I would have driven to another pump if that "aaammmaaazziinngg" thing would have been on mine! LOL! Have a great Sunday!
Wow, this was sure an enjoyable post...loved all the pictures.
About weeping willows and water/sewage lines...I forget how far normal tree roots will go to find water...I just know weeping willows roots will go a lot farther. And roots in the sewage lines is not fun--been there, done that several times here and that just from maple trees.
But we had a weeping willow when I grew up, too, and I think that is why I love them. Feel like you can get back under them and hide.
Very cool pictures of your country ramblings. Glad you had a visit with your daughter - where in Africa are they going? I'm S. African! Any place in Africa is a bit closer to heaven, IMO. You should visit them there! Glad they have the opportunity to see and experience the world from a different perspective.
So glad you found my blog - and added me to your blog roll. I am truly blessed - just reluctant to do some of the farmy things (mostly from inexperience). I love the wide-open spaces. And am really looking forward to farm fresh eggs. Prince Farming is having so much fun with the chicks though - that he borrowed an incubator. Just not sure what we'll DO with all the eggs. Hmmm. Wanna come over and get some?
I loved looking at all your beautiful photos.
It looks as if you all had a wonderful weekend.
Now..some reason I am wanting shrimp. lol..
Good post.
Pam
Yes, the photos are breathtaking! Really nice!
Oh, what fabulous photographs. I love the one of the barn with the grass growing in the foreground. Oh, heck, I love them all!
It sounds as if your weekend was bittersweet, seeing your family off to a foreign country. My heart would be feeling very heavy, if it were me.
Keep us posted on how they are doing!
Great pictures!!! Love the barn through the fence!!!
Yes, you can use the granparents alphabet saying...I found it on the internet.
Take care :)

Lovely weekend! Love the pictures and OMG...that little cow! So stinkin cute! I heart cows! The food made me hungry even though I'm full...and your kids are great!
that second shot is especially magical. :O
Beautiful photos. I think a book is a great idea!
No one captures every facet of an experience quite like you can. I feel like I got to experience their visit right alongside you.
You've inspired me to put my camera in my bike bag and head out into the country one afternoon this week. Time to load up on some farmland/smalltown pics!
I just love your photos! Especially the one with the barn in the background and the fence in focus!! Awesome!!
oh how i absolutely love your pictures!! i want to find an old barn now!! you are getting me motivated to go figure out my camera!!
Terrific post! What a photogenic couple. (Jealous.) Love your barns, especially the one through the fence.
What great pictures and fun memories to make before they leave.
We will all be thinking good thoughts as they venture out to the unknown to make a name for themselves.
Look at those great pictures! So happy for you that you got to spend some great time with you daughter and her husband.
We have the same taste in photography, but you are way better at it!
I love the pics---
my favorite post so far! I love all the photos - especially the first one, and then the corn-throwing one :), and the one with Cooper of course!
oh, and the one of me smiling all giddy in the restaurant - I look exactly like YOU!
What a GREAT collection of pictures. I really like the one of them playing in the corn (?). And the next one where her head is on his chest. Oh, the barns. So well done on all of them!!!!!
Great photos.....it looks like you all really had a good time together.
Wishing the happy couple safe journeys and many blessings.....=)
Love the photos - and those onion rings!! (Sort of looked like worms...)
