Something to think about..............click on the rice bowl to your right;)

If you could go anywhere you want this weekend, where would you go and what would you do?

I would go on road trip to the NE Georgia Mountains, stay in a cool rustic cabin, eat at family style southern restaurants and stop at every little roadside shop!
Yep! Perfect! That is exactly what I would do!

I used to live in NE Georgia. Not only did I love it then, but I miss it terribly now!
I have driven many, many times on those roads! Truely amazing!
All of this makes me miss you: Gail and Rhonda;(

I always felt at home in Georgia! "Georgia on my mind"
Hows about you? Where would you go this weekend?
Tell me bout it ya'll;)

I have never been to Georgia. I would go to my lil sis's house in NC. I am missing her very much.

I didn't even have to think for a minute about where I would want to spend the weekend. It's on this lake...

I'm not too picky about which cabin we stay in because almost all of them are bigger than my house. I've wanted to stay in a cabin in Eureka Springs, AR for years. Someday it will happen.

Hey Adventure Girl!
If I could go anywhere this weekend, I would do exactly what I am doing... celebrating 50 years of marriage with my BF's parents and all their friends, many who'm I've know for most all of my life.

And I'd spend a night in my cabin in Eureka Springs.

Chris: also check out Cabin Fever on Beaver Lake. Hubby and I stayed there once and really liked it.

The most awesome cabin we ever stayed in had to be at Big Cedar Lodge just outside of Branson, and their service was impeccable! Cookies on your bed pillows at night and firewood restocked daily. On New Year's Eve they deliver every room a little care package for anyone who over imbibes. Order a steak picnic basket from their restaurant and cook it yourself on your private grill on your deck! Take a guided fishing tour, and don't miss a massage from their spa! AWESOME!

I've never been to Georgia, although I love the song!

I'll have a look at doing this as well. For today, my thoughts are filled with less noble things.

If I could go anywhere this weekend, it would be to a peaceful, pet friendly spa retreat somewhere warm, so I can take a much needed rest. Whew!

Gorgeous post! The gears in the brain are very eye-catching, and such lovely autumn scenes from Georgia!

If I could do exactly what I want this weekend, I'd head back up into the hills of northeast Iowa to take more pictures of the bright-colored autumn leaves and the harvest-hued fields. I'd visit Pikes Peak at McGregor to view the bluffs over the Mississippi River, too.

Thanks for the thought-promptings! Nice idea.....I will put the geared-up brain in my blog's sidebar.

I went there for a wedding once. Didn't have time to enjoy all the sights and sounds. But if I ever have a road trip that I want to plan, I know who to talk to!

Anywhere and do anything... if this is a one time thing, I would love to go back to India and work in the leprosy colonies, IF I could do it every week, this weekend would be a beach weekend...
