My mission statement~

I intend on "trying" to live a life that is about: not putting in my mouth things that are bad for me or have come from an animal that was treated cruely while alive on this earth and during slaughter, creating lasting fond memories for my children and grandchildren, adventure, challenging myself, respect others regardless of species, race, color or creed, taking risks, having fun, being grateful, respecting myself & my body, being authentically myself, taking responsibility for my actions, being proactive, being a problem solver, taking action, introspection, transition, change, honesty, growth, loving & helping others, having integrity, doing my best, being easy on myself, enjoying this world, becoming well read, seeing the wonder of it all and never allowing fear to hold me back!

So many projects, so little motivation.........

Ok-so this started by visiting: http://fourseasonsfarm.blogspot.com/ and reading her online challenge to be "Better". She is setting some goals for her self, starting with her frig and pantry area, to be "better" at some things. I will be responding to that separately.
So it motivated me to do my own version of an online project list. Just by starting this and posting "some" pics I am both embarrassed and overwhelmed. Now I need to go to bed and hide. But I will stay up and plow ahead.

The first and major project is my bedroom. It's ceiling has been falling down for, um, 3 years. A small part, maybe 8% of it. It came down in one big batch ( I cleaned that up) and no more came down. But I was watching! Both lack of motivation and resources are at the root of it taking this long. And it's not just the ceiling, it's the walls, the windows and the floor.
This first pic is of part of the old plaster wall that has to be replaced.

This pic is of the shape the walls are in. For some reason it started chipping.

This pic is of the entrance that shows the floor and ceiling that need redone.

FINALLY the ceiling and wall are getting fixed. Long story as to "who" is doing that. The rest will be done by me and only me.............no contractor, no painter or no decorator. Whew......yes I can do this! (I'm talking to myself)

Here is another project: paint that strip

This is a pantry that I need to decide if I am painting or staining-

All the molding in the kitchen needs finished.

This is in the bathroom and needs repaired-

These are my videos and DVD's that need organized. I don't mean put back in their place, I mean a total overhaul. They don't fit in that spot.

This next set is a douse (is that spelled right? I mean do-zey)-Organizing ALL my cloths. I don't need to get rid of any, just centralize them into two places. These are in the first room downstairs.

These are in the second room in the basement-

These are in the "storage" room in the basement-

I feel so naked and vulnerable. I NEVER let people see my messies! Please don't judge me:(
There are more in the garage and in two bedroom closets that I can't get to right now because of the construction going on right now. Mmmmmaaaaaaayyyyyyyyybbbbbbbbbeeeeee I could get rid of a few, but just a few. I vary in size and get rid of a lot yearly anyway.
Alright, this is a partial list of my projects. If I continue, I will start crying and I don't feel like crying right now.
I am def a messy person but at the root I am generally organized........drawers, closets, cabinets! And when I clean, it is spotless! I'm just not so good at putting things back in their place right away. I've been this way my whole life, just ask my Granny. But, get a little better as each year passes:)
Wish me luck and keep me on task please:) Here I go, eeeecccccccccccckkkkkkkk! I don't wanna! Hey! none of that! Stiff upper lip and get to work-

WOW! That is a tall order! Glad you were inspired by my blog. Just be sure to break it down and look at ONLY one thing at a time. I am concentrating on only one a week and pretending the others don't exist! So far...so good!

Sounds like we are very similar in our cleaning. I make a mess, but when I clean I do a spotless job. My MIL loves when I come over and clean. LOL! That is very rare!

Dana-Awesome! I will have coffee waiting and what kind of dessert do you prefer?
