My mission statement~

I intend on "trying" to live a life that is about: not putting in my mouth things that are bad for me or have come from an animal that was treated cruely while alive on this earth and during slaughter, creating lasting fond memories for my children and grandchildren, adventure, challenging myself, respect others regardless of species, race, color or creed, taking risks, having fun, being grateful, respecting myself & my body, being authentically myself, taking responsibility for my actions, being proactive, being a problem solver, taking action, introspection, transition, change, honesty, growth, loving & helping others, having integrity, doing my best, being easy on myself, enjoying this world, becoming well read, seeing the wonder of it all and never allowing fear to hold me back!

Ok I can tell you the news now...........and it's great!

A couple of weeks ago I posted something about being really excited. You can read it HERE

My last "real" career was with The American Heart Association. I was a Corporate Events Director and covered a large territory raising funds and awareness for Heart and Stroke Disease by working with local CEOs', committees, and corporation employees! We worked together to raise large sums of money by putting on Heart Walks! I loved it and it was perfect for me. The year after Katrina, non-profits everywhere were suffering. The AHA cut over 20,000 jobs in one week. Mine was one. My territory was the most rural area and they cut it!

I live in a small town. That fact coupled with the job market nationally has made it extremely tough finding something of that caliber. I have basically been working just to pay the bills with zero intellectual stimulation or sense of making a difference in the world. Me being me, I have to have that.

Welllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll! I finally got a break. Deep down I believed it was all for a reason.

Mosaic is an organization serving people with developmental disabilities. They believe that every individual is a person of worth. Together Mosaic staff members, volunteers and the people they support work as partners. Check out the website HERE.

I just got offered (9:44 am) the Public Relations/Marketing/Fund Raiser position! Yippee!

It combines the two things I want in a job: Public relations and making a difference in the lives of people or animals!

I am kinda in shock!
I am so grateful and feel so appreciative! "Thank you Father"
