God Bless America!
And the entire world!
Why did you have to go?
Each simple little memory
Now passes by so slow.
I am stuck in the yesterday
Not wanting to accept
The horrid truth that you are gone
Your life taken without threat
This morning you awoke
To face a brand new day
But a cold-hearted terrorist
Took that gift away
Though the grave cry for the lost
In the settling of the dust
They failed to shake our foundation
For in God we put our trust.

Here is a bouquet of flowers for all the survivors and their families that I wish I could send them today!I remember the day it happened. I was in my living room ironing and it came across the TV. I was scared and in shock. As news of the event increased throughout the day I had a deep sorrow for all those who passed away, who were hurt, who were lost, who were stuck somewhere, who lost loved ones, who didn't know where their loved ones were and for anyone and everyone in the world who understood the devastation of this horrific event!
My heart and prayers go out especially today to everyone touched by this tragedy. Peace!
Check out Susan's amazing 911 tribute!

Hi K: Thanks for your visit, this is a sad thing to remember. My youngest turned 30 on the attack day. I can still feel the sadness in my heart when the second jet hit the towers and you realized it wasn't just an accident.
Thank you for visiting Our Little Acre! And thank you for adding me to your blogroll and for the nice comments you left on my blog.
This is a wonderful tribute to those who were innocent victims seven years ago today.
It was the longest day of my life.
I'm so glad you came to visit! I love following people home so I can see their corner of blogland. I love this tribute! It was a horrific day and my prayers go to the families and the heroes of that day also. I see that you are an animal lover! My daughter and I have this dream of winning the lottery and going to Mexico to rescue all the poor abandoned pets there...and then coming home and finding good homes to adopt them. So it seems we share daydreams! Your Grandbaby is a gorgeous little angel! Now I'm off to explore your place!
What a lovely tribute. (Gerbera daisies are my favorite flower.)
I have a friend who used to work in Windows on the World Restaurant at the top of the World Trade Center. She knew some of the people who were lost, and she was so heartsick, all she could say was, "Oh, sh*t!"
I think it was a horrible day no one will ever forget.
Thanks for visiting my blog. Nice tribute to 9-11. My husband works in NJ and saw the planes come in and hit the buildings from his office window across the water. He called me and told me to turn the tv on. What a scarey and sad day that was.
I love cowgirl boots too, and bullriding (PBR) and cowboys. The ones you have posted are super cute!!
I couldn't have said it better myself. It's so important to remember this day, to be thankful for what we have, to be supportive to those who went through what we only viewed on TV. You've done a great job here to all those individuals.
What a lovely tribute to September 11th. Thanks for visiting my blog today, you have a very nice site too. I added you to my blogroll.
It was a very tragic day...not only for Americans but for many around the world....I remember watching it on TV as some of it came live...I was ironing.....so very very sad...the tears flowed that day....today I also remember my mum....she pasted 3 years this day as well....the pain is starting to ease...actually today is the first year I didn't cry ...just smiled and the memories.....
I really like your tribute. It is so nice.
I also remember that day so vivid.
I was off from work and folding laundry when it all played out on live t.v.
My thoughts and prayers were with all those heroes and victims today.
Good post.

To get the black box on your site, click on "about the box" at the bottom. You'll be taken to a couple of sites explaining. Basically, you're going to go into customize your layout, choosing the template with the java/html and then you put the code in that you've copied from "about the box". If you have trouble, just ask.
Amen.
I remember the day so vividly. I was with a class of school children and we had just had our weekly swimming session. As we waited for the coach the television screen in reception was showing the collission. As we watched, speechless one of my pupils said "What's going on Miss?" My reply.."I don't know Lucy but it will affect us all from this very moment"!
I see Lucy often and she still remembers the words.
