My mission statement~

I intend on "trying" to live a life that is about: not putting in my mouth things that are bad for me or have come from an animal that was treated cruely while alive on this earth and during slaughter, creating lasting fond memories for my children and grandchildren, adventure, challenging myself, respect others regardless of species, race, color or creed, taking risks, having fun, being grateful, respecting myself & my body, being authentically myself, taking responsibility for my actions, being proactive, being a problem solver, taking action, introspection, transition, change, honesty, growth, loving & helping others, having integrity, doing my best, being easy on myself, enjoying this world, becoming well read, seeing the wonder of it all and never allowing fear to hold me back!

I cut 5 inches off my hair-

For all my faraway friends, yippee no "face" shot! LOL
For my "new" bloggy friends:
I used to be a hairdresser and still do my friends, family and my own hair! Saves a lot of money for me, cutting my own hair! Everytime I've thought: "wouldn't it be nice to have someone else do my hair, I hate it!"
Additional info since first posting this:
My hair color; (I need to get a new cord for my scanner so I can scan pics) when I was young I had naturally strawberry blonde hair. As most darker blondes do, it got a little darker and drabber as I aged. As a hairdresser and someone who likes change I have colored/highlighted my hair for many years . Always a lighter shade of blonde, never darker, I'm a blonde in my soul. I am not a high maintneince girl, with that said, I got so sick of the roots and upkeep. The color of my hair is the "perfect" shade for me and has been for 5 years. It's looks naturally lighted as if I was hangin' in the pool all summer. Here's the FUNNY part..................get ready.........................all you hairdressers out there...............................all you who tryed this and it was a disaster................................
It's "SUN IN " !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep works perfect...........a blowdryer and wa-la! Why would I change perfection?! It's so gradual that it never messes up. My oldest daughter Megs does this as well;)
My hair is so thick and has a fuzzy patch in the back, it takes so much time to do it, that I grow it out then get sick of the time it takes and chop it off!

Megs and Jonathan were back for two days in route to southern Illinois. A major highlight for them is seeing "Cooper"! We celebrated Megs "birth" day since it is this Sunday and they won't be here. Her present from me was the entire line of Bare Essentials Makeup!

Don't pay attention to half of the lemon pound cake missing that I made for her Birthday! The night before some little mice got into it;)

Look at his face!

Look at her face!

He is thinking: "Gran'mama, help me!"

Yippee, It's Cooper time!

Happy 25th "Birth" day Megs!

Wow--you do your own hair! That's awesome. I tried once when I was small and cut a giant rectangle chunk out of my bangs. Haven't since! But I do cut my husband's (and "fix" it after he gets home from the salon if I haven't had time to give him a full cut), and I plan to do Anja's when she needs it.

Your family is beautiful!

There are so many wonderful inspiring people that are on here! Your hair from what I can tell looks fabulous and your family is gorgeous! I have to say I work in a library and most of the books and movies you have below are my favorites as well! Thanks for sharing!
